THE STUDY OF PIPE NETWORK FOR RESINDENTIAL AREAS

BY

LEONG TING HAU @ JAMES HUANG

ABSTRACT

The project, being research in nature, has the outcome in the form of collected information. With water distribution system being the topic, the report consists of several related sub topics. The first is ‘List of Illustrations’ which consists of tables and diagrams inserted in the main body of the report. Next comes the first topic of the body which is the introduction where the reader is briefed on the objective of the project as well as the manner which the project is organized and conducted. It is followed by ‘Pipeline Design and Layout Factors’ which discusses the methods and factors used in pipe designing and layout. ‘Water Distribution System’ explains the system of the pipe network in detail. The pipes which are used in the system is briefed on Pipe Materials’. Next comes the ‘important Components of Pipe network’ where the importance of valves, fittings and joints are discussed. The final topic of the body is Waste and Maintenance’ where the various methods of maintenance work are explained. It is then followed by the conclusion of the report. ‘Reference’ and ‘Bibliography’ highlights the source of the information gathered. Finally, the appendix contains relevant charts, diagrams and illustration of the report.

STUDY ON THE USE OF PREFABRICATED STEEL FORMWORK FOR CONSTRUCTIONS

BY

CHEW HON GUAN

ABSTRACT

First and foremost, I would like to summaries the content of this project report. The following pages of this project report will includes the structure of the prefabricated steel formwork used, the design details, the comparison of advantages/disadvantages between the usages of prefabricated steel form work and the wood formwork and the wood formwork used widely in Malaysia and also compare the material used such as concrete wall brick wall.

With such information, only one can decide and compare which prefabricated formwork is better in terms of cost and time saving. I will also include all the calculations done to prove all the facts used are accurate and reliable. A picture is more than a thousand words, so I might as well include the picture and drawings to make thing clear for a better understanding in this prefabricated steel formwork.

Secondly, I have make this project report as simple and compact as well to keep things interesting enough even for people who are not studying in this field. With all I do respect, you may browse through this report and comment me.
