ANALYSIS AND DESIGN OF A BOX CULVERT

ABSTRACT

Three parts of structure will be designed or analysed, where I will be enable to apply all my knowledge I have been studied in the past five semesters. First part is analyzing the soil structure. Second part is determine the maximum ultimate design moment for the culvert. And the third part is designing the reinforcement for the culvert.

A 2.4m x 2.4m R.C. box culvert was designed to BS 5400, bs8110 and Departmental Std BD 31/87. Knowledge of Loadings, methods of design are utilized.
