ABSTRACT

 

            This project is given to all the sixth semester student (Diploma in civil) to test their understanding in real design. It is important for student to apply their knowledge in both practical and theory in designing their project. I have been given the project to design a shop house using reinforced concrete theory. Here, I design the beams, slabs, columns and foundations for a building of 8 metre wide and 24 metre long. I design the roof of the building with 45 sloping. The first floor design for residential purpose, while the ground floor, design for stores. In the design, all the bending moment and shearing  stress should be considered. Then student need to provide singly reinforcement or doubly reinforcement for their concrete building. The part 1 of the design consist of concept for design. While part 2 consist of all the calculation.
