DESIGN OF FISHING JETTY

ABSTRACT

Fishing jetty is an important structure for fisherman. It enable fisherman to unload their profit after their working from the sea. In this project, I will combine parts of structure like staircase, slabs and pile foundation to design my fishing jetty.

In my design, the fishing jetty is designed to withstand the most unfavorable arrangements of loads like imposed, dead, wave and etc. These loading give important factor for a jetty to function smoothly and effectively by not bringing inconvenient to its users. Furthermore, it should bring development for a fishing village where moat jetties are built there.

Fishing jetty is structure constructed at the edge of sea. It should be safe to use during its serviceability period. Therefore, a proper design should be taken so that it does not bring harm to its users.
