PLANNING AND DESIGN OF BUS STATION

ABSTRACT

The objective of this project is to apply all my knowledge regarding the structural design, soil mechanics and other subjects that I had learn throughout the past semesters in the planning and design of my project. Furthermore, this project will prepares me for my future as I believe that what I will learn is applicable to my future.

The project title is ‘Planning and Design of Bus Station’. The overall dimension for this bus station is 32m x 8m. It is divided into three parts. The first part is the roof. It has been designed as flat roof with no access. The second part is the first floor where the management office, wash rooms, waiting hall and ticket counters are situated. For the third part, there is a basement as terminal for the bus.

Overall, my scope of works including the design of retaining wall structures, foundations, columns, beams and slabs.
