L.R.T. – DESIGN AND ANALYSE OF AN L.R.T. STATION

ABSTRACT

Light railway transit or commonly know as L.R.T. is very new transport system in Malaysia. Due to this reason, not many people understand about this system in the first place. However, due to the promotion and publicity organized by the government, many people have been exposed to it. Generally, the system consists of two most important physical structure. They are the station and the track. As the station is more closely related to the subject that I am studying. In the first part, I will discuss on station which include the introduction, uses, design requirements and others. In the second part I will discuss on the design of the building that I have created and the analysis done to the building that I have designed. In this part, you will be exposed to the plan and elevation of the building, the explanation and designing of each of the main element structure in a building (i.e. slab, beam, staircase, column, etc) and finally the requirement or standards that I have follow in the BS Code.
