DESIGN OF DOUBLE STOREY BUNGALOW

ABSTRACT

 

            Basically, to design the Double Storey Bungalow, we should accord the British Standard Code 8110 and design with reinforcement concrete. These are involving reinforced concrete flat roof, slabs, staircase, beams, columns and foundation.

 

British Standard Code 8110 guides that the structural design be consider 3 aims, these are:

 

ü      The structural must be safety.

ü      The structural must be durable.

ü      The structural must be economic.

 

Specification of the building:

 

a)           Windows    - Aluminium framed tinted glass window

b)          Doors         - 1 hour-fired solid timber door and slide door for toilet

c)           Wall            - 115 mm thick brickwall with 20 mm thick cement plaster on both

                              Sides

d)     Flooring      - Mosaic to toilet, wooden tile to staircase and tile to other

         e)    Roofing       - R.C. flat roof with waterproofing membrane

         f)    Gate             - Electronic gate

         g)    Fencing        - Steel fencing
