BY
WONG TZE SHIANG
ABSTRACT
The project I done is to design a boutique hotel within ICM for visiting lecturers. The size and components of this building is suitable for housing the amount of visiting lectures.
I would like to give you brief ideas on how are the arrangements of the component, the type of component designed and the number of them before you move into the structural part. There are four blocks of three-storey and symmetrical hotel buildings sitting on an area of around 3300 square meter. The first and second floor, each consists of four rooms. Each room has attached bathroom and balcony. The ground floor is for multi-purpose use. Different use like for restaurant, lounge, receptionist and activities room will determine the loads assigned. In my design, the ground floors are used as lounge.
This hotel is unique as it provides pleasant environment to residents. Two staircases on each side of the buildings are provided to give privacy as they connect to different rooms. Flat are for the access of residents.
I am sure you have a rough idea on my project and to understand more to analyze the structure design, you can refer to the calculation and drawings that I have done. In order to understand all the calculation, please refer to all the architectural and structural key plan.
