ABSTRACT

This project paper is intended to be a practical, elementary guide for those who want to know about Designation of Underpass. This type of underpass is considered common which can find in many places in many countries. But the essential things is the using of underground space for infrastructure improvement and also for the advantages in long term condition that are being offered. The details and explanation of the advantages will be discussed in later session. In order to make my point clear, please read the introduction in chapter 1.

All the steps of designations, illustrations, results and analysis, and conclusion are included in this project paper (see the content page). All the numbers, formulas and limitations are according to BS code (British Standard code) except the designation dimensions. In addition, in order to make the working processes clear, illustrations are attached and printed out with colour. Even the designation of the underpass (varies of view) by using Autocad programme are also attached to this project paper. Thus, it is worthy to precede the reading any further. Results and analysis are made in such a way so that the user will understand it easily. Conclusion and further development or considerations are made to let the user to improve this project based on their creativity. All the calculations are attached behind of the Appendix part. So, just let us hope this project can help anyone who intends to know the design of an underpass.
