DESIGN A ROOFTOP RECREATION CENTRE

ABSTRACT

The title “Design a Rooftop Recreation Centre” basically gives us the idea that the rooftop design should be able to house some recreation facilities. Well plan architectural outlay and design must be first prepared to allow good allocation of recreation facilities proposed. This is to provide a pleasing and relaxing moment for the user. Nevertheless, the architectural design should be unique, elegance and breathtaking.

The structural layout and design should be plan in the way that it comply fully and able to cater or withstand the loads be it the self loads and the imposed loads accordance to the architectural design to it respective usage. Nevertheless, the supporting structure such as the slabs, beams and columns should be design or layout in a way that it provide a bigger space to allow other activity to take place at the lower level.

As a recreation activities can be at the same time. This is to ensure user to feel satisfy paying the rooftop a visit.

Since an Olympic size swimming pool was proposed to be part of the recreation facilities, the reinforce concrete water retaining structure should be design carefully with their respective check to ensure no leakage.
