ABSTRACT

On behalf of the project title “THE DESIGN OF A TIMBER TREE HOUSE FOR A FAILY OF FOUR”, the objective of the project is to design a structure which is durable to certain resistance, economical and safe to be used by the end occupant.

Firstly, the project has been worked out by the architecture drawing, which involves the design of the layout of the structure. The design of the external appearance and interior design for the structure is also determined. This is shown by the architectural drawing attached in this report.

Consequently, the main frame of the project would be the structural design of tree house. The further of the report will guide through the process of the design. Methods of design are done step by step and the design work is based on the reference of MS Code of practice and also British Code of practice. Because some pats of the building are designed by steel design and RC Design. The design work is started from the top of the structure to the bottom of it. Towards the end of the design, the detailing of the structural elements is also revealed.
