SIGNIFICANT AND APPLICATION OF ADMIXTURES IN CONCRETE TECHNOLOGY

ABSTRACT

Admixtures are added to concrete at the time of batching or mixing to impart some desirable, and often essential, characteristic to the plastic and hardened concrete.

Therefore, my project will revolve around studying the ASTM categories of admixtures including properties and application used in concrete technology. My projects will illustrate the function of different admixtures and comparing the advantages and the disadvantage.

I have also included the laboratory work to provide a better understanding on the project by research the effectiveness of admixtures on improving strength and other properties of concrete.
