ABSTRACT

This project is concern with the design of raw water intake. The title is “The Design of a Submerged Raw Water Intake”. The type of intake will be the cheapest type that is the direct extraction from the river. The flow is unregulated; there is no dam to store the water. So the low flow estimation has to be done to make sure that the extraction is not excessive to prevent environmental problem. The content of this report is about the design steps for an unregulated raw water intake. Methods of estimating the low flow volume, pipe sizing, population projection, etc will be available in this report.
