ABSTRACT

Wireless Ethernet is becoming the standard for in-building and short-range wireless communication. However, unlike the wired network, it is rather difficult to control the unauthorized user from accessing the network since it is an unguided transmission media. Many wireless Ethernet cards measure the signal strength of incoming packets. This project investigates the implementation of a system using this sensor by demonstrating that wireless hardware can accurately be used for location sensing in a wireless-enabled building. With this, it would allow for different user access privilege for different users based on types of information as well as location
