STUDY AND IMPLEMENTATION OF DOS (DENIAL OF SERVICE) ATTACK PREVENTION FOR LINUX SERVER

ABSTRACT
The main purpose of this project is to develop DOS system for server. A system will be developed for network administrator to protect their server. Technically, this system is working by using several techniques such as CAR to rate limit ICMP packets, configure rate limiting for SYN packets or IP Verify Unicast Reserver-Path. Besides that, it can monitor on the suspect attacks for early prevention, the activities and other related issues on the network that are critical to allow network availability, maintainability and feasibility.
