In light of the deadly epidemic SARS and the emerging trend by medical industries to utilize computer based solutions to enhance their services, a system that can help this industry will be developed by the author. Combining the flexibility and resourcefulness of the internet and a safe and reliable video link, doctors can maximize their risk of contracting diseases while patients benefit from instant and up to date medical knowledge. The aim of this project is to create an online web service with a database of treatments for various degrees of illness. Users can get instant and up to date information on medical and health related services. It also supports a unique service where users can get consultation from doctors through video conferencing using web cameras and microphone.
