A STUDY AND
IMPLEMENTATION OF A SECURE STATIC IMAGE AND INFORMATION DISTRIBUTION VIA
BLUETOOTH TECHNOLOGY IN A LIVE AUCTION ENVIRONMENT

This ystem aims to
implement a secure and discret environment to conduct
auctions. It will allow bidders in an auction hoouse
to receive pictures an information from the auctioneer
over bluetooth connection. The bidders will be
equipped with WinCE PDAs and the auctioneer would
have a laptop. The auctioneer would be able to send tne
relevant image and information of the current item up for bid to all the
potential bidders present in the auction house on a wireless network. The
potential bidders then summit their bids to the auctioneer’s laptop which acts
like a server. The connections between the bidders and the auctioneer will be
made on an ad-hoc basic according to the preferences of the bidders. This can
applied in all auctions worldwide.
