ABSTRACT

This project deals with study on routing technology and to implement the appropriate traffic management solution that can be adopted in a router. Study will cover on routing protocols and how router works. The project focuses on the implementation of a traffic management solution that simulate the environment in a router. This solution is important to give fairness among flows and to avoid congestions that are coursed from the incoming packets. Traffic generators will be used to produce the traffic. Different queuing mechanism will be tested against these traffics. An analysis will be produced to comprehend how a particular queuing method influences the traffic.
