ABSTRACT
This project conducts a study on various operating system and Linux and web-based application programming languages, and to evaluate those existing software applications. It also studies on the existing protocols for file transferring such as FTP. A prototype would be developed to run both Windows and Linux operating systems. It depicts the file communication between Windows and Linux environment based on TCP/ IP and HTTP protocols. There are two parts of this project, one is to view the Windows partitions with your own system and another is to do the file sharing between the Windows and Linux by using the client-server concept. It also studies on the complex configuration about the Apache, ColdFusion-MX and the MYSQL. Ultimately, this project is aimed to provide facilitates to solve the application needs to perform computing with highly easy method of sharing, transferring and monitoring without complexity of SAMBA and restriction of operating system platforms.
