A STUDY ON NETWORK MONITORING AND REMOTE ACCESS CONTROL TO DEVELOP AN EDUCATIONAL TOOL FOR THE LABORATORY

ABSTRACT

This project studies on monitoring the computers in the network and administering the computers remotely. It will cover how the information on the client can be sent through specified port to the server. Thus, we need to study about the socket, especially Winsock in the Windows environment. The application will be built in C++ programming language and using TCP/IP as the protocol for the network. This application would function as remote control program that lets you works other on other computers remotely through your own. The educator could see the remote computer’s screen in a resizable window or a full screen on his/ her own monitor just as if he/ she were sitting right on it. It will thus enable the educator to monitor, troubleshoot and rectify the students’ computers remotely without the need to personally attend to the students’ location.
