ABSTRACT
Nowadays, the number of mobile phone user in Malaysia has increased rapidly. Many people, especially in the cities, subscribe to mobile companies because of new services feature such as SMS (short message service). SMS is the technology that allows text messages to be received and sent over mobile devices. Therefore, this project conducts research on SMS such as the definition of SMS, the functions of SMS, and the techniques of SMS. Besides, a web based SMS would be developed as a prototype.
