TO DEVELOP COMPUTER ASSISTED ENVIRONMENT FOR TEACHNG IN LABORATORIES USING MULTICASTING TECHNOLOGY

ABSTRACT

This special study final project report intends to be used in computer laboratories. Computers are widely used nowadays. It comes to play vital roles in household, education and enterprise. Therefore, the authors tend to develop computer-assisted environment for teaching in laboratories with multicasting technology. This will integrate some network controlling to be used by the laboratory assistants. Electronic classroom is no longer a strange word to the society. The author observes the trend and decides to develop something that seems to be helpful. There are two main parts for the system: applications and network controlling. The author would like to include chat room and whiteboard for the applications. These two will be useful for the communication between the lecturer and students to students. Network controlling is needed to observe the utilization of the laboratories and attendance of the students. Ultimately, the author seeks to implement a system, which is useful and convenient to be implemented in real life.
