APPLICATION OF STEGANOGRAPHY TECHNIQUES IN EMAIL APPLICATION

ABSTRACT

Steganography is a new approach to achieve security. The idea actually comes from watermark technology. If it used together with encryption, it can be the most secure way to transmit information through network. This project will research on information about steganography, how to transfer the file through the Internet and the application of steganography to develop the system. Appropriate software tools will be studied and used to develop the email application. By applying steganography techniques and some encryption techniques in email application, hopefully we can achieve better security. This email application will include basic features of existing email application such as send mail and receive mail with attachment file. The main research will be concentrated on steganography.
