IMPLEMENTATION OF THIN CLIENT ARCHITECTURE FOR THE COMPUTER LABS IN INTI COLLEGE

ABSTRACT
This special study project aims to develop a Thin Client Environment in the labs of INTI College Malaysia. It focuses on the research of Thin Client technology and to look into the advantages of implementing the Thin Client technology into the current lab’s technology. Thin Client helps to provide a better monitoring control on the personal computer and more manageable system in the labs of INTI College Malaysia. What made thin client so special is that the processing are mainly done in the server instead of in the client. Another name for Thin Client is called the Server Based Computing, as the name itself self explain, the server plays an important role. Thin Client also an attractive Technology when we are talking about the cost of implementing it. The cost is much lower compared with the client/ server technology as the actual Thin Client architecture uses terminals to act as the client.
