ABSTRACT

This project is mainly to discuss the differences between various search engines in the Internet. A few search such as Altavista, Hotbot, Excite, Infoseek, Askjeeves and many more are selected for the comparison. An advantage and disadvantage of the search engines were also detected. We can also discover the key players in the search engine area. All these search engines have their own strengths and limitation with relates to their search techniques and what users have come to expect from a search engines.
