A STUDY ON CLIENT SERVER ARCHITECTURE AND TO IMPLEMENT STATIC AGENTS IN NETWORK MONITORING AND MAINTENANCE SYSTEM IN COMPUTER LABORATORY

ABSTRACT
The project aims to conduct a study on client server architecture and develop a static agent in network monitoring and maintenance. In the system, a static agent will be installed in the client computer and a server program will be installed in the server computer. The static agent will collect all the needed information such as the CPU performance, memory usage, connection status and the logging information and send it to the server. The server program is able to receive the information requested from client and display in understandable manners. The server program would also be able to carry out some of the basis administrative task such as shutdown, restart, logoff, and force shutdown the client computers. In addition, if time permits, file sharing ability would be added to the system.
