SMART CARD BASED HEALTH INFORMATION SYSTEM

ABSTRACT

This project investigates the usage, method and features of the smart card system. A smart card system based on the health care field will be developed. This system will provide a faster and more efficient access to the patient’s health information that is stored in the card. Allowing better and efficient response to the patient’s medical information by personnel in case of emergency. Thus eliminating the manual filing of medical form and provides flexible patient data retrieval that can be access anytime, anywhere. The foremost important aspect of this project is the interaction between the software and hardware of the smart card system. This may prove to be a most demanding task of examining the possibility of the newly implementation of this system in the medical area. A though research, analysis, consideration and examination will be instigated through the whole phase of the project.
