DEVELOPING A MULTI-PLATFORM FILE-SHARING SYSTEM FOR MICROSOFT WINDOWS AND LINUX OPERATING SYSTEM

This project is addresses issues on files sharing and transferring among workstations that run different operating system in the local area network. It focuses on the development and design of coordinating to link up all workstations without sophisticated configuration. It produces solutions on current applications available on the market that should coordinate this. The project is characterized in networking category. It researches methods and simple ways to coordinate among multi-program workstations. The final product that was developed during this project is able to run on different platform, such as Microsoft Windows and Linux operating system, as well as other Unix-based operating systems (as long as the Java Runtime Environment is installed on the computer), because this product was developed using Java programming language and other tools.
