A STUDY ON DATABASE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (DBMS) IN IMPLEMENTING A DATABASE RECOVERY SYSTEM

ABSTRACT
This project aims to study the concept of Database Management System (DBMS) in depth to implement a Database Recovery System. This Database Recovery System is very important in recovering the data for a database of an organization. This database Recovery System is design to work as a backup for a database, where it will recover the database with the latest copy of the information. This database also can generate reports according to the requested information. Most organization can’t afford to lose any data in their business routine. Hence, this system will give a promise to roll back the previous data in the database. The access priority of the database will be categorized according to the level of the authority in the organization. This system will be implemented in an organization that has several departments where all the department need to share the overall of the information in the database. The tools to be considered in developing the system include language; Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0, Operating System; Microsoft Windows 2000 Advanced Server and database; Oracle 8i Enterprise Edition.
