ABSTRACT

The purpose of this project is to study on the various data compression and decompression techniques, select one suitable technique/ method and create the prototypes. It aims to improve the understanding and knowledge of the co/ decompression system and select one or more suitable technique to compress and decompress the computer files, This prototype capable minimizes the file size. It assists to reduce the size of storage devices. In addition, the add-on encryption and decryption facilities will coded for the purpose of decreasing the data security. Ultimately, this project aims to minimize the file size of the computer files by using the right and suitable technique and the user interface of the system will be dressed with more attractive design to improve the metaphor of the system.
