A PROTOTYPE OF
GEOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION SYSTEM (GIS) THAT HELPS IN DECISION SUPPORT FOR
FOREIGN INVESTORS IN SEARCH OF NEW INDUSTRIAL SITE
In this project, the author in tends to build computer system that is capable of assembling, storing, manipulating and displaying information for new investors. The main function of this system is to provide decision support to user (investor) in search of strategic industrial site. It helps foreign investors organization based on data collected from user’s input. The system will store data in databases developed by author. These databases will be the system’s foundation to provide decision support. Upon user request, system will analyze and manipulate data from each database then, these inputs will be combined to generate a few options on the strategic location. User can view information about the strategic areas in the on-screen multimedia map provided. Ultimately the system is designed for the purpose of providing useful information for foreign investors in search for strategic business site.
