A STUDY IN FIREWALL TECHNOLOGY AND AN IMPLEMENTATION OF FIREWALL PROTOTYPE

This project is an in-depth study of firewall technology as well as types of firewall available. Firewall can be software or hardware that acts in between computers and the outside world. Firewall is a device that stops intruder (hacker) from going inside a user computer. A study will be conducted upon types of firewall and the feasibility of making a prototype on the types of firewall. The proposed prototype should have the ability to to fend of attacks, detecting potential attackers and prevent protected host from sending out sensitive data. The tools required to produce the prototype is yet known but various tools will be analyzed fro most efficient tool.
