IMPLEMENTATION OF WIRELESS TECHNOLOGY INTO RAPID AND EFFORTLESS FILE TRANSFERING
KUM CHAK TAI
The system being developed is called CROSSWAY2000. This project introduces wireless technology to point-to-point file transferring between PCs. It promises to provide personal connectivity by freeing users fro wired connections. Short-range wireless connectivity enables data to be transmitted to high-speed data rates. The communication hosts have to set up the hardware and install the software first. Data link must be established first before the file transferring can begin. Only those units preset by the owners can communicate with one another. The hosts are being connected in a peer-to-peer environment. Users are able to go wireless and make effortless file transferring.
