STUDY AND DEVELOPMENT OF A PROTOTYPE CASE TOOL TO CONVERT SYSTEM FLOWCHART INTO PROGRAMMING SOURCE CODE

ABSTRACT

 

            The aim of this project is to investigate the structure of system flowchart and  to implement a prototype CASE tool that generates programming source code from the flowchart. Development of this CASE tool is essential for programming beginner to understand fundamental programming coding. In order to use this CASE tool effectively, user is required to posses knowledge about flowchart structure and flowchart building technique. The system will auto generate appropriate programming source code according to the user defined flowchart. Common programming language such as C++ and Java source code can be generated from this CASE tool. In addition, the system needs to be designed as a user friendly system to accommodate beginner users. A study about CASE tool concepts, programming flowchart structure, C++ and Java fundamental programming coding is required in order to accomplish the project
