STUDY ON COMPUTER TELEPHONY TECHNOLOGY AND IMPLEMENTATION OF A HOME-BASED COMPUTER TELEPHONY APPLICATION

ABSTRACT
The telephone network is the most important network in the world. This is because it has the most endpoints and it uses the most basic input, which is voice. It is tremendous resource that people should take full advantages of. This project is to develop a computer telephony system for home user. The system will be enhanced with features with combination of telephone technology and computer technology. The system will pick up calls when user is not around and record the voice message of the caller in the computer so that the user will not miss an important call. The difference between the system and the normal auto-answering machine is that the users remotely access the system to get the messages when they are not at home. Users can call back to the computer system to get the messages and control the computer system through their mobile phone. This system will be developed using Borland Delphi Language. The system developed on a PC platform. A modem must be connected to the pc in order to fully utilize the system
