ABSTRACT

This project studies on text to speech technology over a LAN. It investigates the problems and techniques of implementing a text to speech technology over LAN environment. The project extends to the area of converting text at the sender’s computer into speech at the receiver’s computer. To decode the text into sound is the problem. Transferring the text over the network is always faster comparing to sound files which always bigger. The objective is to use the text to speech technology and implementing it in a chatting system.
