A STUDY OF WAP TECHNOLOGY AND TO DEMONSTRATE IN INTI COLLEGE INFORMATION ACCESS SYSTEM

ABSTRACT
This project addresses issues related to WAP technology. This study area will discuss how to implement an application into the portable devices via WAP technology. The author will demonstrate the findings in an information accessing system, which integrated in a portable device. This information accessing system will allow users to access information about all the campuses of INTI College Malaysia. Since nowadays the information are just available through web based application, and it has cause to inconvenience to users who didn’t have computer by their side to access the information. On the other hand, the mobile devices are more common nowadays, thus the author is going to deign an application, which allow the users to search for INTI College information through WAP service. Users can use this system to search information like courses, student facilities, lecturer contact information, hostel information, important event calendar and program offer in each campuses. There are totally 5 campuses located in Malaysia, so this system will design to include the information of all campuses. The author will also add in the function for enrollment through WAP, hostel booking and etc. The system design will consider both the normal users and also the administrator side. This means that the users can browse the information and the admin staff can do necessary adjustment on it when necessary
