A STUDY ON THE WIRELESS NETWORKING TECHNOLOGIES AND JAVA 2 PLATFORM MICRO EDITION (J2ME) TO DEVELOP AN EXAMINATION RESULT CHECKING SYSTEM

This project purpose is to show the wireless communication route around the college and as well and how the communication takes place between resources constrained devices such as mobile phone and the server. The project also looks in the suitable web technology used in implementing the system such as XML, JSP and other varieties of web-based language. This project studies the surface of wireless architecture of both Wireless Local Area Network and J2ME as well as the networking details of the involved in communicating the information to the user audiences through the means wireless communication using wireless mobile devices, WLAN standard, protocols and the J2ME technology. Besides, the author also focus on the development of the proposed system on the client side as where J2ME platform is used while the administrator, lecturer and examination center staff are focus on the student data entry such as the student final and course mark result and college event.
