RESEARCH AND IMPLEMENTATION OF AN AGENT ORIENTED TECHNOLOGY TO ADMINISTER A PARALLEL PROCESSING JOB

ABSTRACT

The purpose of this project is to conduct a through research on the agent technology and to design an agent-based framework to administer a parallel processing job in a Local Area Network (LAN). At any given tine, majority of the computing resource in a LAN remain idle. By harnessing this resource, a complex task may be completed in just a short time. This project aims to develop an agent-based framework to make effective use of these resources. In order to share resources, all clients will register with agents. By doing this, it will also allow their computational resources to be available to others.
