ABSTRACT

This project addresses issues of implementing a multimedia text-to-speech system for the purpose of word pronunciation use by children. It focuses on the design and development of interactive multimedia user-interface that allows users to key in words for better pronunciation. In other words, the system read out text type by the user. Besides that, this system also contains some animation elements that can attract the attention of children to enjoy using the system. The project is characterized by thorough study on text-to-speech concepts and techniques to implement the system for the benefit of users to derive on such concepts. Ultimately, this project aims to help children to learn and pronounce new words that they encounter.
