THE STUDY AND DEVELOPMENT OF WINDOWS BASED REMOTE CONTROL SYSTEM FOR COMPUTER LABS MANAGEMENT IN INTI COLLEGE MALAYSIA

ABSTRACT
The School of Computing and Information Technologies (SOCIT) is one of the five schools in INTI College Malaysia. SOCIT manages 16 computer laboratories (labs) for use by its staffs and students of the college. The author proposes to develop a remote controlled lab management system for SOCIT. The name of the system is INTI Lab Management System or ILMS for short. The proposed system is intended to ease the Lab Assistant’s tasks by enabling them to record the logs of each user, so that users are prevented from misusing the computer. The system will also have features that enables the lab assistant to monitor the student activity, for example, a screen capture function, that will show what a particular student is doing at that time. Ultimately, the system will facilitate the management of the computer labs in SOCIT.
