INVESTIGATING AND DEVELOPING A CENTRALIZED PETS STORE SYSTEM THAT CAN RETRIEVE PETS AND PRODUCT DATA THROUGH HANDHELD DEVICE IN A WIRELESS NETWORK ENVIRONMENT

ABSTRACT

 

            Nowadays, the pet shop is selling various types of animals. It is more than thousands of animals in the store so it needs a management system to track down the stock and the daily monitoring system for the pets in the store. Staff in the past relied on the clip boards and paper charts track down the pets in the store. Now they are able to use handheld devices to help them. The system will enable the user to retrieve the pet’s record and health information on handheld device. Compare to the other stuff which is using the notes or charts on the paper, it is much more effective and efficient. The system will manage the pet record and product information in a more accurate and efficient manner. The system actually helps to ease the workload of the user and reduce the paper work for example the staff has to check on the pet’s behavior at every hour to determine whether the pet is good condition, the staff will needs to record down on the paper or charts. Time will not be wasted to search for a pet as users will just needed to filter the search field to retrieve a particular record or information. Additionally, the staff able to use the handheld devices to record pet’s data and product records through wireless LAN. Besides, the handheld device will record down the schedule of visit and feeding time for the pets and will remind the staff if they forget it.
