STUDY ON SIMPLE MAIL TRANSFER PROTOCOL AND IMPLEMENTING AN E-MAIL APPLICATION WITH ENHANCEMENT OF E-MAIL SPAMMING AND FILTERING

ABSTRACT
The purpose of doing this project is to study and understand more detail on the simple mail transfer protocol (SMTP), thus applying the knowledge to develop an email application with enhancement of email spamming and filtering. This project will develop and email program that will able to perform the basic features including sending and receiving mails. The additional feature that is designed to enhance the system is to block and filter the unwanted and irrelevant email. There is various benefits from this system such as providing an easy way to send and retrieve emails for the mailbox. Other than that, it also provides the essential filtering and blocking of the junk mails from the user mailbox. Consequently, the system is able to reduce the time rate of the explosion of mailbox.
