STUDY AND IMPLEMENTATION OF PROTOTYPE EMBEDDED WINDOWS BASED APPLICATION FOR PERSONAL ASSISTANT AND MANAGEMENT

ABSTRACT

 

            This project aim is to develop an information manager composed of three different utilities in a Windows CE-based operating system, which is a common operating environment across the computing spectrum that will make it easier for users to work. The first allows user to store addresses and telephone numbers of people to contact. The second is a diary to manage meetings and visits. The third enables user to create their own collection of websites and records a description of each of them. It is also possible to access web pages without quitting the program on condition that the computer is provided with an Internet connection and a Web browser properly installed. The utilities are characterized by a very easy-to-use user interface that let user to access to all the functions easily. This project may be an indispensable tool in user’s everyday engagements allowing user to get rid of cumbersome address books, loose pieces of paper and bursting folders. It allows user to do those transaction in the palm of hand. This is a software for the PALM family of handheld computers. Besides, windows CE-based hardware is portable, diskless, and provides instant-on capabilities and long battery life.
