STUDY ON WIRELESS CONNECTION ON DEVELOPING REMOTE CONTROL VIA SMS (SHORT MESSAGING MESSAGE SERVICE) ON CLIENT/ SERVER IMPLEMENTATION

This project intends to develop a system that allows users to communicate in bi-directional manner with a computer in the network via SMS (Short Message services). The message that is received by hand phones that is connected to the computer becomes the command to the computer to do some network processing. Message could also be the initiated for the computer that received the SMS. After the system has done the job, the system will automatically send some comment about its process back to the hand phone that sent the SMS. The way system works is by using two hand phone as one of it will be the receiver. The receiver is connected to the computer by plugging it to the serial port of the computer to enable the computer to communicate with the hand phone and the hand phone that is the message sender act as a commander. The commander will send a message to the receiver, when the SMS arrive then the computer will immediately access the SMS inbox to read the new incoming message. The message brought into the computer through serial port then the system would provide a feedback messages and to some process regarding command initiated via SMS.
