VERSION CONTROL SYSTEM FOR SOFTWARE DEVELOPERS

ABSTRACT

This project addresses the issues on programmers having difficulties in tracking and remembering the changes to the files in the project development involving text files (source code in any programming language, web pages in HTML). This is where Version Control system can help. This project is aimed to solve the above problem. It has the advantages of tracing, identifying and storing the changes made to the original document. It create log files consisting time of changes made to files, name of author and project, together with the list of changes made. The author will conduct research and develop the proposed system. In conclusion, the project aims to ease the task of the programmer’s job by keeping track of the software development progress.
