IMPLEMENTATION OF A HOUSEKEEPING APPLICATION FOR HOTEL USING WIRELESS NETWORKING TECHNOLOGIES

ABSTRACT
The project aims to explore and understand the concept of wireless local area network technology. A housekeeping application for the use of hotels will be developed using the wireless technology. The system is specifically designed to allow the hotel’s housekeeping staffs and receptionists to perform their task more effectively. This system will use standard wireless platform such palm or pocket PC to automate housekeeping inspection and manage property-created inventories. With this system, the housekeeper can update the status of a room or other relevant information to the system at the front office within a short period. In addition, it will bring a lot of convenience to both parties and also help to increase the productivity and effectiveness of the hotel.
