A STUDY ON WIFI TECHNOLOGY AND TO DEVELOP AND IMPLEMENT A FOOD ORDERING SYSTEM USING A PDA

ABSTRACT

 

            Nowadays, wireless technology is becoming popular in the IT field. Wireless Fidelity (WIFI) technology is a standard for wireless access to local area networks. The principle is to establish quick radio links between terminals connected to broadband networks. The main purpose of this project is to develop a Western Food Ordering based on Wifi technology. The application is designed for waiter to help customers with their orders. It would overcome the problems encounter with manually operated system. First, order will be taken using a PDA that act as a client side. Then, the order will be send to the kitchen to confirm the foods availability. Lastly, cashier will calculate out the total amount of the bills. With this application, food ordering can be done more conveniently and efficiently for daily operations. Lastly, it also reduces the waiting time for customers.
