A STUDY ON JAVA WEB SERVICES TO DEVELOP A PROTOTYPE BOOKSTORE APPLICATION

ABSTRACT
This project aims to develop a prototype on bookstore application using Java web services architecture. Java web service is powerful collection of technologies, which helps developers meet the requirement of an enterprise application. This project is about developing multi-tier component architecture on bookstore application by adopting Java web services technology. This application will apply a simple LAN infrastructure to implement n-tier architecture system. The project focuses on developing a user-friendly system for users to search, browse, view information concerning new books. Besides that, the system will allows users to create user account to facilitate users to place the book order into the cart and provides payment processing feature. Moreover, it provides account maintenance, order status, advance search mechanism for users to use this application.
