DEVELOPMENT OF WEB-BASED SHOPPING AND CUSTOMER SERVICE SYSTEM FOR BOOKSTORE

ABSTRACT

This project conducts a research on the development of web-based shopping system with the enhancement of online help desk and customer services. The major focus is aimed at providing an alternative way of business transaction compared to the conventional shopping practice through the study and development of this system. The project tends to investigate and develop an electronic database processing system that instantly processes and stores the records uploaded from a network. Nevertheless, the analysis and implementation of online helpdesk and customer service system is another excellent business tool for the bookstore to advertise promotion, to clarify customer’s enquiries and to receive customer’s comments or complaints for subsequent improvement. This system significantly assists in conducting marketing research for business growth, future business planning and effective information dissemination with the convergence of e-commerce technology.
